Visiting Children
By keeping our organisation ‘boutique’ size, we are able to offer our supporters the opportunity of joining our Founder; Cathy Zeiger on her yearly visit to Nyahururu. Off the tourist track, often on the back of a bike or in a local Matatu, visitors meet their sponsored child at home or at school, enjoying their culture and sharing ours.
Many who visit have commented that they feel our friends have sown more into their lives than what they could have ever shared with them. Truly a life changing experience.
During our stay we are based at Thomson Falls Lodge, Nyahururu. Comfortable, safe, secure accommodation, with an ‘English Cottage’ charm feel about it. Each room has its own fireplace which will be well used on your trip as Nyahururu is located on the equator and situated 2360 m above sea level. This ensures the temperature is cool all year round. The lodge overlooks the beautiful Thomson Falls waterfall which is a popular stop for many.
Of course, no visit to Kenya is complete without a 3 day Safari tour of Masai Mara Game Reserve.
